YouMap2.8.2 - App Store

YouMap is the social mapping platform designed for people who actually go places. Whether you are planning a cross-country road trip with friends, tracking the best hidden ramen spots in the city, building a local guide for your neighborhood, or mapping the causes and interests your community cares about. YouMap turns your interests into a living, breathing community.

Most maps are static and generic. YouMap is different. Every map starts as a blank canvas where you and your community can add posts, and share what's happening in real time. It is one part social network, one part community builder, and entirely yours.

BUILD YOUR WORLD, YOUR WAY
. Custom Communities: Create maps for anything from “Best Dog Parks” to “Secret Skate Spots” to causes your community advocates for.
. Collaborate with Friends: Invite others to add their own posts, photos, and tips.
. Pro-Level Tools: Post templates give your map structure and style. Use custom post templates to make your map’s content richer. New maps come with basic built-in templates so contributors can start posting right away.

. Hyper-Local Discovery: Find maps created by locals and experts who know the area better than any algorithm.

FROM FIRST POST TO THRIVING COMMUNITY
Don’t worry about a blank screen. Our Map Setup wizard guides you through every step of building your community identity, setting the rules, and growing your audience. You bring the ideas; we provide the structure.

KEEP YOUR WORLD ORGANIZED
With a redesigned sidebar and an infinite-scroll library, your maps are always one tap away. Join other creators, travelers, and locals building a more human map of the world.

Version History A brand-new notifications inbox. See comments, new posts and follows in one place, and act right from the notification: follow back, open the post, or jump straight to the comment. Swipe to mute a map, and expand grouped notifications in place. If notifications are turned off, the app now lets you know.

Search, rebuilt. One search for everything with a new All tab, and location results appear as numbered pins on the map that stay in sync with the list.

A cleaner map. Glass headers and a see-through tab bar over the map, a tap on the map tucks the sheet away, one consistent place pin everywhere, and the map opens near you even before you share your location. 2.8.2 3h ago A new way to get started. Meet Yuni, who guides new members through sign-up: pick a name, choose your interests, set up location and notifications, and follow a few maps near you before you land on your feed.

A fresh look. A new typeface across the whole app makes everything cleaner and easier to read.

Faster everywhere. The map opens already showing its pins, launch no longer stalls on a slow connection.

Better sharing. Posts, places and profiles now share as a proper preview card.

Easier YouMap creation. Post types sit in one panel where you can reorder, remove or regenerate them, and the app knows your AI limit from the start.

Plus lots of small fixes and improvements. 2.8.1 Sep 11 Posts got a full redesign. Photos show at their natural size, dates get a mini calendar, audio plays with a waveform, and links show previews. Posts also animate in gently as you scroll.

Creating is easier too. The post editor was rebuilt, every input is simpler, you can record audio or upload a file, and the preview shows exactly how your post will look.

You can now build your own Post Types from the Elements you choose. And when starting a new YouMap, AI can create one for you, with a cover, description and Post Types. Tap once to try another.

The app launches much faster, your YouMaps list loads instantly, and new posts appear right away while photos upload in the background. You can also search your YouMaps from the sidebar.

Plus live profile counters and lots of small fixes. 2.8.0 Aug 31 We just made our biggest update to posting yet. An even cleaner creation flow, smarter controls for map creators, and performance improvements throughout.
